Samurai Champloo is a Japanese animated television series consisting of twenty-six episodes. Samurai Champloo was created and directed by ShinichirÅ Watanabe, whose previous work, Cowboy Bebop, earned him renown in the anime and Japanese television communities.
Mugen is a fierce animal-like warrior with a unique Bboying (break-dance) inspired fighting style. Jin has a more traditional style but don?t think of this as a weakness because his skills are amazing. The two contrasting samurai warriors are far from friends, yet their separate paths seem to cross anyways. Mugen is wandering aimlessly through the city when he stumbles upon a teahouse where he meets Jin and Fuu (A ditzy waitress, but don?t think she doesn?t have anything hidden up her sleeves). Fuu convinces them both to come with her in search of a mysterious samurai that smells like sunflowers and their journey begins. This modernized hip-hop tale breaks the barriers of the common, historical, samurai anime.
Genre: Chanbara, Comedy-drama, Action
- In total there are 26 Episodes -
I have watched Samurai Champloo in 2008, the Anime has it's own style, storyline and hip hop soundtracks.
I have enjoyed watching this anime and will watch it again :)
After watching Samurai Champloo i have tried to do some break dance flips but it didn't work lol. So i ended up going to a one day breakdance class to learn about the basics of break dancing but the instructor started with the advanced moves and flips lol. Atleast i learnt how to lift the body off the ground and rotate lol (i watched others do it but i havent tried it myself). It needs practice and muscle exercise :) and strong arms too because the arms will be lifting the whole body :)
Ending song is my favourite
